Sesame oil is a cold-pressed product from carefully selected unroasted sesame seeds . Sesame oil – what does it contain and how does it affect the body?

Sesame oil is a rich source of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) . Thanks to the presence of nutrients such as calcium, copper, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, lecithin and vitamins B6, D and E, sesame oil has a number of applications. Sesame seeds contain phytosterols, which lower bad cholesterol levels and prevent atherosclerosis.

Use of sesame oil

Sesame oil is traditionally used in many dishes of Middle Eastern, Asian and Arabic cuisine. However, cold-pressed oil is recommended primarily for cold consumption or for pouring over warm dishes. The product goes perfectly with fried pasta, salads, vegetables and fish, providing a carrier of the vitamins they contain.

How to store sesame oil?

After opening, keep the product in the refrigerator until the expiration date. Sealed unroasted sesame oil usually has a shelf life of 6 months (from the date of pressing), which is due to the specificity of the cold pressing process and the omission of the purification step.

Natural sesame oil does not contain any preservatives, so it is produced in small quantities, which guarantees its freshness and excellent taste.
